It doesn't matter what age, it's whether you're mature enough to handle a relationship. To me you seem like you are (far more mature then some who are in a relationship already...)

To convince your parents, tell them you feel ready to try this, to have l a relationship with a guy. You have waited until you have felt mature enough to do so, and now you do. They will also appreciate that you are waiting until marriage to have sex.

This conversation may feel awkward, but it is far less awkward then the conversation with your parents that just found out you were going out with somebody, and they didn't know.

You want a bf only for the sake of it? If you really like someone, or if you love someone, then you can think abt having a bf, and not only coz every1 around you have or its the norm or watever.

And now to answer your question, there is no right age to love. When you feel you've met someone with whom you feel connected and you could spend max of your tym with, then you can go out with him, be it at 13, 16, 18 or 20. BTW that sex after marriage thing is a great choice you made.

Abt your mum, you need to make her see you are ready for a bf. Help out more around the house, act more mature. Do this for about two months, and then have a mother-to-daughter talk to her. Tell her that you have something imp to talk about and that she needs to let you finish before she speaks. You then make your point, saying you really like a guy and would like to go out with him but with your mother's permission. Your mom would LOVE that, trust me. Furthermore, tell her she need not worry abt u getting preg, coz you are not having sex until marriage. You need to be more mature if you want you mother to believe you.

16 is actually the normal age for teenagers to start having boyfriends. As to how to convince your mum that you're old enough to have a boyfriend, is complicated. When i told my mum I had a boyfriend she started to freak out - which is normal for any parent!

I think you should start showing your mum that you're ready, you're mature and you know the consequences e.g heartbreak.

i just turned 18 and had a boyfriend when i was 13 and we been together ever since i love em to death but i wish i would have waited to make anything searious your young explore whos out there not saying have sex with everyone but let guys take you out on dates and get to know them i suggest dont make it searious but your not too young but make a promise to yourself to never give up YOU OWN HAPPINESS to please your boyfriend because boys come and go and you stay forever

Don't go looking for a boyfriend, if it's mean't to happen, it will... You're probably not to young for a boyfriend, just nothing serious I guess... Hope it works out for you! x
