What are signs my cat is going to die?

i've had my cat since i was four years old. i am now 21 and believe she is going to pass away soon. she has completely stopped grooming herself and struggles to eat. she doesn't exactly distance herself from us but she does sleep alot in our bedrooms. she can hardly jump on the couch and has no will to really do anything. is my cat going to die soon?

You can never tell. However a few weeks before my cat died he barely walked anymore. He rarely ate and didn't come up stairs at night like he used to. Its was very sad because I knew my cat my whole life. He died July 3rd 2008, the day before the fourth of July. You should check with the vet first. You're cat could simply be sick. The older cats get the more their immune system weakens so its very likely its just a cold. Don't assume its you're cats time, yet and if it is just remember dieing is just a way to make room for more life.

most likely, yes. sorry. but you may wanna take her to the vet just to see if its not something you can help her with. you'll want to make her passing as comfortable as possible. or she just may be sick and needs meds and will live another year or two.
