Snake Bite questions? Brands? Rings/Labrets?

Okay, so I'm looking at snake bites. I have a lot of questions I'd like to ask, but I'll keep it short.

How do I know what size piercings to get?

Where can I find lip rings WITHOUT the balls on them?

Labrets: I know what kind of labrets I want. But I want to be able to switch from labrets and rings. Is this possible?

Do I have to tell what size piercing I want to who's piercing me?

How long before I can take the piercing out and put in a retainer?

Is it safer to get pierced with labrets and then switch to rings later? (Because I hear you have to sleep with the piercings for the first 4 or so weeks)

After a few months/years/etc. if I take out the piercing, will it still seal up?

I've looked online, but I want to find a store with a wide selection of piercings, not just generic ones that I imagine tattoo/piercing places have. Where should I look?

Any and all help is appreciated! If you can't answer many questions, that's fine, but is there any advice you'd give me?

They either pierce your lip with a size 14 or 16. you can find lip rings without the balls on it on Hot Topic or any body jewelry store near you. Yes you can switch from labrets to rings anytime after your piercing is healed...i always switch:) You can tell the piercer what size you want it if you want and the first time i got my snake bites done i got them done with rings its really up to you because im pretty sure your piercer will give you a choice between rings or labret and i never took my piercing off unless i was going to clean it which by the way you have to clean it alot because you dont want them to get infected. your lip will swell up a bit so just put ice on it and the swelling will go away.
