They appear to be pretty forthcoming about where they are exactly and how to contact them etc
Why dont you take advantage of their cash on delivery method...if you dont feel safe. http://www.flipkart.com/s/help/payments
Then you wouldnt be risking anything.
Note: You do have to pay cash when the books come.
No checks or any other method.

I can tell with me and my brother`s personal experience that they are reliable. My brother is a regular customer of them. They have a Cash on delivery option so if you scared to use you Debit or Credit card, you can use COD for your payments then there is no worry but you`ll have to pay cash on the delivery of your products no other method will be applicable.

Flipkart is really a reliable website to buy books or any other stuff. I am using Flipkart website for buying stuff since last 6 months and really they provide quality products. Also I have save more money by using Priceburp.com website. I have using coupons and Offers available on this website and save my lots of money.

Just to add to the first answer, you can opt for Cash on Delivery (CoD) services. A lot of these sites offer this; I know Flipkart does. You can get the instrument, check if it's fine and then pay.
