Movies:Name 5-7 movies you think deserve....?

I think far too many comedies have been snubbed at the Oscars. Here are some of the most deserving comedies that were not nominated for Best Picture:

Singin in the Rain (1952)

Some Like It Hot (1959)

Harold and Maude (1971)

Young Frankenstein (1974)

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

BQ: The Accidental Tourist in 1988. I think it was sad just for the sake of being sad. There were many more deserving films that year (The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Big, The Last Temptation of Christ, Die Hard, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray, The Adventure of Baron Munchausen, Beetlejuice, Midnight Run, A Fish Called Wanda, Gorillas in the Mist, Bull Durham) but I think people were still obsessed with William Hurt after Broadcast News.

Movie: Apocalypse Now 1. The use of "The End" by The Doors 2. The strange, eerie, synthesizer music 3. The dynamic shots throughout the movie 4. The way the camera seems to glide over the water when we're on the boat 5. The psychedelic sounds and lighting at the Do Lung bridge 6. Clean's mother's voice being played back on an audio tape after he is killed 7. Purple haze! Far out, man! 8. The photojournalist's first rant 9. Kurtz's philosophical speech on horror 10. The building parallel action between the water buffalo sacrifice and Willard going to kill Kurtz with the music BQ: I can't think of any that I like. BQ2: 1981 (Raiders of the Lost Ark over The Silence of the Lambs) BQ3: Hostel (if that can even be called a horror movie). Since when did gory become synonymous with scary?
