Warrants and police officers of a different jurisdiction?
So say I have a bench warrant for missing a court date in one city, and a cop pulls me over for running a red light in a different city far from the courts jurisdiction. What are the chances the cop will lock me up for having a warrant?

The chances are 100% that you will be arrested on an outstanding warrant regardless of where it is from. You can be in a different state and be arrested for an outstanding warrant. Now the real issue is after you are arrested and processed into the jail the jurisdiction of whoever put the warrant out on you can come and get you or tell the folks who now have you incarcerated to let you go since they don't want to extradite you but that depends on the severity of the warrant (ie. traffic tickets vs. parole violation) but regardless you can expect to be transferred over to that jurisdiction especially if you are only one city away. Bottom line a "warrant" is "warrant" and no officer is going to debate whether to arrest you on an outstanding warrant because you will be arrested and it is their job to get you into custody and what happnes after that it isn't up to them but they did their job and took your butt to jail.

It depends on the terms of the warrant and how far away you are. Every state is different on warrants being extraditable
