What nations have have law enforcement agencies that are unarmed?

Northern Ireland Territorial Police are armed. Metro have at least one ARU car (with at least 3 officers) per sector on routine patrol, as does the Garda. Transport Police are armed. The Nuclear Police are heavily armed at all times as are the Ministry of Defense Police.

It is not just the CO19/SO19 who are armed.

I did a ride along with Metro. My guy claimed that even though he is un armed he is never more than 120 seconds away from getting armed help if needed.

BTW all in UK are armed with collapsible and regular batons or truncheons, both deadly weapons.

They are training and slowly equipping all British & Wales with taser like weapons

Now as far as not being armed, certain levels of police in India are not armed, same is true in S. Korea, Bahrain. Iceland is unarmed but all are trained in use.

NZ all detectives and uniformed sergeants are armed.

Norway is unarmed but has something like Metro ARU.

Cook Island, St. Helen, Pitcairn Island and the Falkland Island police are unarmed.

Don't know, I take it you mean no guns? British police don't carry guns but they have a variety of other things for beating people up with.

However, if you get waaaay out of line the gun squad will appear so technically Britains police do have guns. Not sure about other countries.
