Rear brake calipers on 92 FZR600?

I'm replacing the brake pads on my 92 FZR600, and I can't get the rear calipers to compress. I took the top off the master cylinder, and opened both bleeder valves (I even removed the bleeder screws and cleaned them). Is there a trick to getting the calipers to compress?

They need to be forced out, cleaned and the seals replaced. The pistons might need to be replaced if they cannot be cleaned – any scoring and they will need replacing.

In order to get them out, if they are fairly solidly stuck, you need to soak them in releasing fluid for a few hours (or days) and, replacing the bleed nipples, get a friendly local mechanic to drive them out with compressed air.

You can get refurbishment kits of pattern parts, replace the bleed nipple at the same time because they corrode easily.

The calipers probably need to be rebuilt.

The age of the bike and the fact that you removed the bleeders lead me to that conclusion.

I assumed you bled the oil through the brakes?
