Has anyone ever experienced withdrawal symptoms from discontinuing Effexor SR?

I accidentally forgot my pills for 6 days (prescription ran out and forgot to renew it) and had an awful time with cold sweats, feeling really strange etc.

Update:

I take this medication because I have a chemical deficiency in my brain, this medication addresses that deficiency.

i have been taking effexor for the last ten years, even after a few days the withdrawal effects are very hard. Feeling nauseous, shaking etc. You should get on them as soon as you can, and only ween your self off them as your doctor tells you to.

I really wish i had never started taking them, if i new what it feels like now to get off them, if you are new to them try and ask your doc whats the best way to get off them.

I felt the withdrawal indicators of effexor for months. Felt like my techniques replaced into being shocked as I tapered off. I unfolded the somewhat fizzling out for weeks. Which did seem to bypass extra effective than associates of mine experienced. i bought gel caps from my interior of reach well-being shop and made 3 hundred mg into 250's for some days then 2 hundred's for a week and 150, and then a hundred for a week and if the shocks have been too unsightly i might up it slightly and in basic terms stay at that dose till i replaced into off it. I in no way recommend Effexor to everybody with out warning of those undesirable facet-consequences!

I had to get off that brand cuz if I missed a few days I would have what I can only define as brown-outs where my sight would go dim & I'd feel faint like I was gonna pass out?! Also they made me irritable & angry! :/ & headaches... :(
