Someone convince me why I shouldn't buy a BMW 745i?

A 2003 BMW 745i costs roughly around 16-21k with around 80k miles.

Seems like a great deal, considering it was a 90k car new.

I'm looking for a luxury car and this car seems like I would get the most style for what you pay.

I'm hesitant to buy it because I'm afraid they might have some serious issues. Are these cars known to have high repair or design issues? It looks like a great deal, but can someone convince me not to buy one?

Thanks.

The thing to ask yourself is "could I run a 90K car?". If the answer is no, then don't get one. Lots of people get caught out by this. They see cars like this for sub 20K and think great, but you need to keep in mind that the car still has the running costs of a 90K car.

there is not any such factor as a 2002 745i this is in reliable circumstance. I artwork on BMWs for a residing. i will get the areas for a 30 to 60% decrease value and would do the exertions myself. That suggested you ought to no longer provide me one in each of those autos. it somewhat is going to bypass down in history as between the worst autos ever made. whilst the gearbox is going out it somewhat is $10,000. any of the ten or so administration modules in contact with the stereo gadget will value you everywhere from $4 hundred to $2000 to restoration. If the coolant crossover tube in the back of the front timing conceal is going a broking will value you from $6000 to $10,000, and self sustaining will use an o.e.m one and it will basically be approximately $1500. we'd be rolling on the floor as quickly as you left in case you introduced your vehicle in, any mechanic might. we've a guy that in basic terms bought a 2004 745li. seems the valve guides are shot. he's staring at $5000 elementary for that restore to no longer point out the $one thousand to restoration his AC. in case you purchase this you're an fool. everybody that tells you in any different case is an fool. everybody who can look you interior the attention and aid you recognize it rather is a robust vehicle and additionally you may purchase it from them is ignorant or a sociopath.

Costs more. Repair bills, parts, maintenance, pretty much everything costs more I used to have a older 318i about 6 yrs ago and even being that old stuff was still expensive. Don't get me wrong bmws look nice and ride nice and corner nice and etc.... but if you cant afford the repair bills you cant afford the car at least that's my opinion. Hope this helps.

Expensive insurance, servicing and repairs, a real gas guzzler too.
