Help with my final grade?
Ok so i took my final the other day at school and the
final is worth 15 percent of your grade. As of now
without the final test included in my grade I have a
73% in that class in order for me to pass the class i
will need a 70% grade or higher because a 69% or
lower is failing grade. So i was wondering what would
i have to make on the finals test to at least get a
passing grade which would be a 70% or higher in the
class as the final grade? (gosh i am so stressed i have
a headache because i don't want to fail this class and
have to go to summer school. Pleaseeeeee helpppp

You need to get _at least_ 69.5 marks in your final test. I don't know how complicated each part of your final may be, but you've done well to get 73% in the first part. Perhaps you are worrying unnecessarily.
Your marks are 'weighted'.
You have two parts to get.
Part 1 - 73% of your first part final (15%) is 10.95% overall. (That's 15 x 0.73 = 10.95)
If you do nothing at all, your overall mark will be 10.95% - So Jack is wrong.
You need to get at least 59.05% in your final (which is worth 85% of the total grade) to give you a _minimum_ of 70% (10.95 + 59.05 = 70).
Let's say your final test is also out of 100%, you need to get (85 x 0.5905) = 69.5 marks. You should aim for 70 marks to be sure of passing.
Source(s): I work in a school and I am used to this kind of question. If there are parts that you do not feel confident with, talk to your teacher - they will want to help you pass and will offer help on your weaker areas. They may even help you with some past questions to boost your chances. If that teacher is not interested, talk to another teacher and if you still cannot get help, you need to talk to your parents or guardians to speak on your behalf.
