Could you tell me what this garnish/pickle is?

Here is a link to an article. The top image is steak tartare, and part of the platter, to the right of the meat is two small bulbous pickles with long stems.

Could anyone identify these things for me?

    Those are cape berries, a larger version of capers. You can find them in brine or in salt in gourmet stores and better supermarkets

    They are most definately Caper Berries. They are just more mature versions of capers. You can pick them up from larger supermarkets or well-stocked delis. They taste the same as capers but are softer.
