What category of the five love languages does reading fit into?
Our dad read to us all when we were little. It was the best! All of us love to read and all my life I have loved to read to people - anyone - if I felt "warm" towards them - kids, elderly, friends, anyone. If they didn't want to be read to I could hardly believe it. Now I think it is one of my love languages. To listen to my husband or kids read out loud to me is interpreted as "I love you." Any insight? Don't know what category this goes in either.

sounds like he was spending quality time with you and you associate that with reading a book. When you hear your loved ones reading it reminds you of the time with your father as well as the act of reading aloud can bring closeness. I believe your love language is spending quality time.
