Yes, Yes, Yes! You must go through the dealer of the make of car you want to special order. Do your homework before you go because you're going to have to make alot of choices from the engine to the color, and everything in between. A dealer won't bargain with you on a custom ordered car from the factory. But if he finds something close at another dealer in another state, then that car can be shipped to your local dealer and he will have some bargaining room on the price, but not very much. Dealers make the most profit selling cars they have on their lot, and they will be willing to negotiate on the price, especially if it's a car that's been in their inventory for a long time. The more flexible you can be on what you want, the more money you will save.

  • NO- You can NOT order from the factory, you must order from the dealer. I just want to scream right now. You can NOT have a manufacture license and a retail license. Just 1 example. About a thousand reasons why you can not buy from the factory.

You guys are not understanding his question. We wants to skip the dealer.

Sure can't order a used car from the factory.

Most manufacturers offer you that option, or they'll find one that matches what you're looking for.

Head over to the car dealership and ask them if they'll help you.
