My digital camera will not download pics: computer says "camera not connected"?
Same setup as before, with camera-supplied cable (USB) to a Macintosh using "Image Capture" app which states "camera or scanner not connected". Green light on camera viewfinder flashing rapidly, otherwise no response. I need those pics- Help!
Camera is an Olympus D-560 Zoom, Takes pics as usual, so otherwise OK.

So forget all that hassle and get a usb card reader. Most of us regulars here use and recommend them... as have I for many years. Readers aren't expensive and are available where ever cameras are sold.

Have you loaded the driver? It's usually on the CD that came with the camera. If you don't have the CD, you can try Apple or Olympus to download it.
