Our 50-unit apartments just changed hands; the property manager has asked me to write some "letter of introduction". I should mention that I am a senior who has occupied same 1-bedroom apartment for 37 years, and the present management has actually granted me only a token increase in rent that charged the equivalent rate for a studio apartment ($1925 v.s. $2250/mo.) in recognition for my extended tenancy.

I am unsure how to write said letter, what format/terms should I address, while expressing appreciation for their consideration to date?

I should point out that this is an expensive neighborhood within a high-tech county in CA. I worked and retired here with no problem, but recent developments make the cost of living problematic. I am over 80, live alone on my savings and social security that allows for few luxuries. With these considerations in mind, how do I compose an appropriate message to the apartment management?

I have an LPG conversion on a Ford van that is ~30 years old (yes, it's ancient, tho with sentimental value). I am able to handle most problems like replace fuel line locks and even a rebuild on the Impco carb unit that sits atop the gas carb.

The current problem is some hard limit on fuel supply, such that the engine will start and idle smoothly and rev up to ~2600 rpm/25mph max, but then runs very rough (overcarbureted?). I can only assume the issue is the regulator. Is there a regulator rebuild kit available? Replace or repair?

BTW, the regulator was installed in a very awkward place, so it is difficult to inspect or service.

The van has been used very little recently. It sat idle for perhaps a year while I was away. Some deterioration was expected, but this problem stumps me.

Any advice or referrals would be very much appreciated.

In both Chrome and Safari, my Yahoo email or home page are nearly useless. In email, the sites with headings come up fine, but clicking on them produces only blank pages with "No data received", followed by -server sent no data- or "Error code: err_empty_response".

Further attempts might produce "SSL Protocol Error". In Facebook, I get "Video can't be played with you current setup" -this may be true for YouTube, as well. None of this is informative, as I have made many tries to no effect.

I tired cleaning my Mac with Sophos, but it found no worms or viruses.

My older TV (Toshiba CRT) has only the coax input for my cable TV source. Is there a Roku set-top box or similar with a coax output? I have internet service thru a telephone landline; there is a splitter which feeds my desktop PC - this works fine, but now I can't afford $140/mo.

There seems to be lots of advice online for cable cutting, but all seem to address only flat-screen units with HDMI. Must I spend $250+ a new set?

Same setup as before, with camera-supplied cable (USB) to a Macintosh using "Image Capture" app which states "camera or scanner not connected". Green light on camera viewfinder flashing rapidly, otherwise no response. I need those pics- Help!

Camera is an Olympus D-560 Zoom, Takes pics as usual, so otherwise OK.

Pop/Folk genre- pleasant female vocalist, one of the lines is:

"If you had just one question, what would it be?" (maybe that) and goes on to speculate that God dwells among us, anywhere, anytime....

I know that on this board, such a question predates your time: the sites I'm searching currently have little to offer before the '80's, and those that do are commercial, flogging off entire albums for a premium, or can list song titles/lyrics by themselves. e.g. "Joy of Cooking" band out of Berkeley, CA- a pop band with 6 or 8 albums. I don't need the music, just lyrics. TIA

I just bought an '02 Honda Reflex 250cc scooter. It's in cherry condition but is missing the owner's manual and the factory tool kit. I have the service manual from HelmInc. publishing co. but would like to know more about features and maintenance.

Is there an easy fix for this? The cover is opaque, so I can't check for actual spin of CD, altho spinup sounds of player seem good. The window shows "track 01", then "no disc" when "play is pressed. I've checked for grunge on laser lens- OK.

CD player on Sony boom box has not been used for a year; is desired to preview CD's for ripping to HD.

This question relates to mounting a Harley-D engine on front of a 3-wheeler FWD microcar. I have located an adapter ($1800!) to buckle up the V-Twin to the bellhousing. The gearshift would be simple, and tranny will provide a reverse gear. The rest is mostly mix-and-match.

I would prefer the engine to be up front, as a counterweight to rest of chassis, (think 1935 Morgan SuperSport with a more modern profile)

I can understand $500-$650 for such work, but I was quoted $950, and I gotta ask, "Is this reasonable?" The dentist is very good, I should note, he has worked on my teeth before, including crowns, but the price this time seemed out of line.
