How would an anti-gravity device work?

    No one knows what gravity IS. So no one could even vaguely suggest how it might work.

    Yet some things would be true.

    Gravity acts as a field which requires some stored energy.

    To alter this field so that something could fall upwards, even in a tiny local area, would require an energy equivalent to the escape energy for bodies contained within the space of this field.

    This amount of energy is ...... well astronomical in size.

    Gravity has an acceleration of like 10ms^2 downward. So any machine that has a force greater than 10ms^2 in the oppisite direction (up) would be an anti gravity machine

    Both energy and mass bends space-time.

    You would need to generate negative energy to create an anti-gravity field.
