Mmm...
Well it is renewable. So that way the carbon dioxide it produces is later removed from the air by the same plants that are used to make the biofuel diesel again. The same can be said about ethanol.
But internal combustion engines still produce oxides of nitrogen, carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon emissions, and diesel also produces ash, also called particulate matter. So if there were a way to eliminate these completely, then a renewable fuel source, like biodiesel or ethanol, could potentially eliminate emissions.

Biodiesel is only slightly cleaner burning than petrochemical diesel. It remains just about as polluting for the air. It is renewable and that implies less new carbon in the atmosphere, but carbon is only one pollutant.
From a practical point of view we would have difficulty producing enough biofuel to satisfy more than about 30% of the total vehicle fleet. What is produced will tend to take the place of food production.. It is also less efficient to convert the sun's energy to chemical storage using photosynthesis than to convert it to electricity with a photo-voltaic cell.

NO. Emissions is a scam by politicians everywhere on earth. Earth's environment has been good for a million years. Mike

Doesn't work that way. If you burn it (what do you think internal combustion is?) it releases emissions ie CO2, end of story.
The problem is that the more food you burn the less there is to eat. There is a limited amount of farm land. They ain't making anymore.
