Is it possible for a human have telepathic abilities?

Carl Sagan said "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof" in other words if anyone out there claims that they have the power of telekinesis, it's extremely easy to set up a protocol for a simple test, no one in the world has EVER passed such a test.

There are many magicians and illusionists like Deren Brown for instance who can seem to perform telepathy, but they will be the first to tell you that they have no 'special powers', many so called psychics like Uri Geller perform the same tricks but claim they have special powers, until they are exposed as frauds by people Like James Randi.

There are more than ten organisations worldwide that will give you a lot of money if you can prove such a power as Eri said, the most generous being James Randi's $1,000,000 challenge, so for those of you who say it's possible, simply prove it.

Yes very much so, nowdays not so much with each other - but with regards to our animal friends/pets, the telepathic link can be very strong. And for mediums who practice mediumship - commnicating with departed loved ones in the spirit world, the main communication is telepathy.

winterbee has it dead on. Agree completely with her. I've experienced it, and the hard part is learning how to tell what are your thoughts and which are someone else's. After a while, though, you learn to recognize the signs of when you're receiving someone else's thoughts.

There are millions of dollars in prize money out there for anyone who could prove they have telepathic powers. No one ever has. Not ever. So no, no one has these powers, and there's no way to explain how they would exist - until someone comes up with them and we can do an MRI on them. Sure, plenty of people claim to have those powers. They're making it up. No, they can't tell what you're thinking. Maybe you were just very predictable. That's what tests are for.

Yes indeed.... It happens to me unwillingly, people and spirits as long as I can see them, their personal thoughts pop in my head. At first I thought it was to do with expressions, but with most spirits I have seen they don't have any facial expressions or much for detail features, but yet their personal thoughts will pop in my head. I believe that it's something to do with when you see the spirit or person and they are thinking of you the same time you are of them, that's when it seems to happen to me. Only once I was able to completely communicate with a spirit back and forth, and it's more like you answer one another when the other thinks what they are thinking, so it's actually faster than talking to one another.

Probably not, but some folks will believe anything and are easily fooled. A talented cold reader can make some remarkable observations.

Everyone has telepathic abilities. The difficult part is not reading people's minds but understanding which thoughts belong to u and which to the other person. U are reading minds every day just like every human being, u just don't realize it.

I don't really have a practice tip, and as far as I know, u can't force it, it comes when u least expect it. I'd say, just try paying a bit more attention to your conversations with other people and you'll see for yourself.

No it isn't and if you think they can, tell that Randi bloke (and all the others) so that we can all have a rest from him every time. I'm sick and tired of being told about him EVERY time a telekinesis question appears - and if you let it go to the vote I can tell you that the B/A will go to a bloke riding a motor bike (unless he changes it out of embarrassment at his age!)
