how much damage would chemical straightening do, after a perm?
The stylist did not listen to what I wanted at all, and gave me super tight goldylocks curls after I asked for giant 2" curls (it was my first time, and I trusted her far to much).
I have let it relax for a full week, and used the deepest conditioners and a ton of hot oil treatments, and it still looks TERRIBLE. My hair was completely virgin to start with, and seems very healthy after all that conditioning... how bad would it be to get it chemically straightened?

You are gonna crispy fry your hair if you straighten it right now. I don't know very many stylists that would double process your hair right now so soon after a perm I would wait at least a month, it will slowly relax even more. although it may feel healthy right now, I can assure you its not...it feels that way becasuse of all the goop you have put in it. Give it a little more time!

The easiest thing to do is a reverse perm. Buy a perm, put the solution on and comb hair to the curl/straight you want.let it stand the recommended time, rinse then put on neutralizer and comb again, let stand 5 minutes and then rinse. same as a perm but no rods and less damaging than a chemical relaxer. use a good conditioner after.... good luck!
