How to file a complaint, or take action on phone harassment from a business?
I would like to know how I can take legal action and specifically on what grounds for a business that continously keeps calling me on the phone, despite my verbal demands to cease and desist. I am recieving approximately 5 calls a day and they are not cooperating, other than saying that the previous person that called did not make the appropriate notations to stop, and that it would stop. I am very frustrated and want to make them account for their persistance and disregard for my wasted time and interrupting my work, thus costing my money. Please someone that has true legal knowledge in this area. I live in michigan. I want to make a complaint to an authority that can intervene and take them to small claims court for my time and money lost spent on the phone with them also.

You can put your number on the Nation Do Not Call List. You can also ask them the name of the company that is calling (assuming you don't have it already) and report them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) at the following address: https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx
If all else fails, contact your phone service provider and have the number blocked.
