Studying to become a Physician Assistant. but I read on the school application some disturbing requirements?

for me. I had some trouble with the law 12 years ago and the application said if you've been arrested do not apply.. will it be a problem for me to become a physician assistant, the issue with the law was years ago and i am a better person and learned my lesson, i was charged but it wasnt anything horrible i did. just with the wrong people at wrong time. What are my chances of getting licensed to becoming a physician assistant? I mainly expect people in HR or people in the medical profession/ law profession, to answer this, that knows for sure, and not random people looking to give an opinion. Please give a reference so I can do research

Have a nice day!

Let's see ... The application says "if you have been arrested do not apply" and you were apparently arrested. How much more blunt would you like them to be?

There might be some hope for you, since the arrest was 12 years ago, but this is a question for your state's medical licensing board, not people like me.

Gut says ... if it was a drug offense ... NO WAY! Same for offenses of a sexual nature or abusive situations. Vandalism or some other minor offense might be overlooked.

enable's be honest. drugs isn't something you coach your self. Do you relatively think of you may coach your self how the pituitary regulates physique applications? What relating to the Krebs cycle? For the two MD/DO or a PA, you may desire to learn from people who already understand the recommendations. And as different have suggested, you won't be able to sit down for the tests till you have been formally experienced?
