1998 toyota corolla power steering issues?

My 98 corolla with 102,884 miles on it has been whining for about 2 months. The power steering fluid has slowly been seeping out but I never let it fall below the MIN level. I took it in today to get it checked out and the mechanic brought me under the car and showed me that it was seeping/leaking fluid from the pump AND from the drivers side rack and pinion. The estimate for parts (pump and new rack) and labor was $1300. Is it worth it to keep this car?

Update:

Anyone else think that $1300 is ridiculous?

If it runs and looks good, SURE it's worth keeping. Do you plan to unload every car that needs repairs??

YUP. even Toyotas need fixing on occasion......

P.S. you should maybe get a couple more estimates too.

You're getting off cheap. Get it fixed.
