What should I get her?

The daughter of an online friend is graduating from middle school. I've never met them in person, but this friend is very dear to me nonetheless. I have no clue what to get the graduate. She's 14 and a model. I could use some advice on an appropriate gift. Thanks!

Update:

A puppy? I'm sure UPS (not to mention her mother) would love that!

I'm on the East Coast and they live in Utah, so I really don't know what stores they have access to.

I suggest a gift card for a juice stand, coffee bar, bath & body store or a crafts store. You can go on-line to find what stores are in Utah. The reason I suggested gift cards is that it cost much less for shipping ! I do not consider it a " fix all ". I do not buy very many gift cards BUT if one is low on cash or undecided what the person would like for sure-this gives them the opportunity to get what they want-especially young people as they like to shop !

When in need gift cards will do the deed! lol... truly though, it is a fix all.

If you really want to get her something... I would go with something quirky(middle schooler) yet fashionable(model/teenager) such as....

lomography camera(cheap/under $100- and really neat!)

Charm Necklaces(more popular then the bracelets and she can add onto it)

    That new "Nook"(more pricier)

Or you can try for classics like...

Ihome for ipods(assuming she has an ipod)

New CD(if you know her taste in music, don't ever assume!)

    A good Book/Writing Journal

There's some really nice symbolism jewelry out there(like ones that say "Achievement" or "Friend")

And then there's personal ideas. But only you would know them ;)

    good luck.
