Once established in a secure and healthy environment, box turtles are typically very good breeders. They can be prolific and can produce multiple clutches of viable eggs each breeding season.
Hibernation is the trigger for mating in most species of box turtles.
1) Nourish box turtles while breeding. Their diet consists of fruits and vegetables, roots, flowers and fish. Female box turtles need calcium and vitamin D3 during mating season.
2) Fix a mating area. It should be 12 to 16 inches deep and consist of moss or damp soil. An outdoor area is best. Turtles lay between 2 and 7 eggs, or "clutch," at a time so make sure there's ample space to accommodate this.
3) Take eggs out of the box immediately after laying. Do not turn them over. Mark them for identification purposes with charcoal.

i could call your vet just to ascertain, notwithstanding do no longer disturb the eggs till they start hatching or some component. you will ought to attempt waiting to work out in the event that they hatch on their own, and in case you think of they're hatching you are able to desire to attempt digging them up very gently (use your arms, now no longer a spoon). notwithstanding, do no longer attempt to help them hatch by means of way of peeling aside the eggs or some component considering the fact that's now no longer what happens in nature. So yeah, call your vet or look up 'container turtle laid eggs' on Google. staggering good fortune!
