Theres a good piece of work by someone : http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgoT1...
hmm, before sleeping, sit up and remember how alone you will be in the grave. And before sleeping make dua to allah (swt) to forgive your sins, and recite surah mulk. Inshallah you will be protected, as surah mulk is a big protection guranteed by the quran.

Asalamu Aleikom dear sister~
Jazakallah khair for asking such a question full of importance.
How often should we remember death? Death really is a topic that should always remain in the back of the minds of each Muslim. We all know we have to face it, so why not prepare for an event that we are 100% sure we are going to attend? We often keep ourselves busy working for this dunya that we forget and dont have time for the afterlife. The dunya, which is lets say about 100 years, compared to our graves, which we may wait in for 50000 years, is what we end up working for when we forget about our deaths. So we should remember death at all times that we are living, I dont mean sitting down and thinking about it, but living life by basing our decisions of how pleased we and Our Creator will be with us when we die.
"Every soul shall have taste of death; In the end, to Us shall ye be brought back."
[Surah Al-'Ankabut, 29:57]
How can we prepare for death? Elhamdulillah, Allah sent us Prophet Muhammad (saws) as the perfect example on how to prepare ourselves. With following this example, we can never become lost. Aside from the 5 pillars of Islam, there is something so great that the prophet (saws) told all his followers to do: recite Surah al Mulk every night. The prophet (saws) never used to sleep without reciting this surah, and has said that this surah should be in the heart of each Muslim because of its importance after death. It pleads for us in the grave until we are forgiven, so that we are not punished in our graves inshallah.
Prophet Muhammad (saws) said, "Verily there is a Surah in the Quran which has 30 Ayats. It had interceded for a person until he was forgiven. That Surah is 'Tabarak allathi biyadihil mulk". [Tirmidhi]
How can we remind ourselves of death? By looking at all the signs around us. Nothing lives forever, not even the plants and trees that die off in the winter. But Allah brings them back to life in the spring, just like we will be brought back to life when we are resurrected. If we just reflect on such things then inshallah we can always be reminded of how short and unfair this life is, and how the afterlife is an undeniable everlasting truth.
May Allah keep us all on the guided path, and forgive all our sins in the akhira so that we do not grieve more than we do in this dunya, Ameen!

Salam,
Jazak Allah Hu Khair Dear Sister for Asking such question, now a days we are just busy in our own life whether a working men/women or a housewife/working lady i really don't know what we are busy about?
Its good to be busy but we must know the real concept after being busy if we will just wake up eat, will hang out and just fulfill our worldly desires then i don't thin this will end up in Heaven anymore and ALLAH knows best.
We must prepare ourselves before death you are right sister we don't know the time when we are to die so we have to behave practically by following the Holy Path Show by Holy Prophet (S.A.W) (Peace and Blessing Be Upon Him, Aameen) and to Please ALLAH Swt By Asking Forgiveness and By Being Staying A True Muslim for What We are Sent To The Planet Earth.
Edit: @ Saleh: you know brother you made me Cry now and I don't know the reason but it i think i have just visualize the scene of Death.
I request you all to pray for me and Entire Umaah Muslimah for saving us from Hellish things and to ask ALLAH for doing those Aamaals (Deeds) Which End us in Heaven.

I'm sorry, I didn't read the whole, poem, because I feel that we should remember death of loved ones and those we respect, but we also have to move on in life, however painful this may be. I have lost family members and have been quite affected by it. I have thought about what my input was in their life and whether I did things right. At the same time I don't want their passing away to fill my life, or hold me down, and I know they wouldn't want this from me either.

Assalamu'alaikum! (A Muslim should start with this greeting to another Muslim.)
MashaAllah! Subhanallah! Should be remembered every time as long as you are awake. Yes! That's the big small question: "When is my time?" InshaAllah. Being fully aware of that, a Muslim should try best to fill each time with good deed in the name of Allah.
[2:62] Those who believe (in the Qur-an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians, any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
