i helped someone on the phone recently and they were really excited by my help and screamed out "Thank you Jesus". is it ok for me to respond, "um, no mam, my name is Kevin"?
seems legit since i helped and not Jesus.
Man some of you have no sense of humor.

also how can a fictional character help anyone?
its also amazing how little you think of yourself and your fellow man. Me, i find it incredibly rude not to give thanks to the person that helped you. You christians obviously could care less about being polite though.

You're missing the point. In thanking Jesus, the person was thanking you.
Not that you're Jesus but, the point is, you and your help have obviously constituted an answer to this person's prayers.
In such a case, like it or not, Jesus deserves the First thanks.
You need to chill and not worry so much about what "seems" legit in your eyes.

No, you got it wrong...She was thanking the right one..It was you who Jesus used as the vessel in helping her but she is absolutely correct in giving Jesus the glory and the praise....MAN should never be glorified because all of it belongs to God that stregthens us and is the reason for our existence...
Deflate your ego and know that it just isn't about you...It is about the Lord>:))))
