I never thought my friends were like this..wht should i do?

Speaking as someone in an interracial marriage, with biracial children... and still as in love as 15+ years ago when we first saw a future together... I don't see why someone's color or race matters if we hit it off with the person.

I don't know... some of my friends/family gave me a hard time, too... but you know, life's too short to let your friends & family try to push you around.

I just look at people as people... the color doesn't always tip us off to how bad or how wonderful they might be so we have to give people the benefit of the doubt-- If I stay away from someone, it's because of their negativity or some other thing I don't like, not their color.

I can't figure out why this still matters... to anyone.

Listen, you love who you love, you like who you like. You need to sort this out with your friend or it is going to keep happening. Maybe she doesn't know how you feel, and thought you were drunk and were doing something you normally wouldn't do. I dunno. I am married to a Peurta Rican girl, and Im as white as they get. I have never been happier. I don't know, for me I don't see color. I see what people have in their heart. A good heart, is a good heart. Regardless of what wrapping it is in.
