If the claimant & the defendant decide to do settlement outside the court?
My solicitor & the driver's insurers are dealing with the case. Who pays the legal costs for my solicitors - no win no fee. Is it going to be taken from the final amount they agree to give me, in this case it's 80/20

Watchdog is thinking of a contingency fee agreement. Contingency Fees are illegal in England and Wales where the matter if "contentious"- anything which involve the potential for action in court. Your solicitor will be acting on a Conditional Fee Agreement, which does not involve taking a percentage of your damages.
Your solicitor will have agreed who will pay costs. If the agreement would leave fees being taken from your damages, your solicitor would have told you before agreeing to the settlement.
