UK Marriage to US Citizen, Husband took new name after ceremony, how do I take it on too?

My husband and I got married in the UK but I am from the US. Afterwards, he changed his name. I now want to take on his new name (which is not on the original marriage certificate but he has changed his name by Deed Poll in the UK and its now on his passport, etc.)

Can I still use the normal route of taking on a new name after marriage if I show the UK Deed Poll certificate in combination with our UK marriage certificate here in the US? Or does the fact that his new name isn't on the marriage certificate mean that I need to use another route? Thanks!
