Yes...I did. Only because my parents said He existed. We went to church a bit, I always "talked" to God...though He never talked back.

In college, I came to the conclusion that I had been deceived by my own parents. Not intentionally, mind you, but I concluded that they were deceived, too.

    I became an atheist.

Then, seeing all the "fear" many other people had of "hell", and "Satan", and even of "God", I decided to read the Bible to prove it wrong in order to "save" Christians of their foolish fears...especially my parents and family.

When reading through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John...in a single night, it was then that God revealed Himself to me.

So now, I don't simply "believe" in God...I know Him.

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became [an adult], I put away childish things." 1 Corinthians 13:11

Yes, as a child I believed in God. After reading the Old & New Testaments many times, I realized that if the god in the OT were THE god, I wanted nothing to do with such a sadistic, jealous, cruel god.

    Yes I did.

Honestly, I found comfort in thinking someone was always looking out for me. As a child god was an easy answer to difficult questions.

Then I grew up and started thinking logically.

I went to church for a couple years, and I remember praying. I also remember questioning out loud the existence of God as a child, specifically to the pastor's family.

Even as a child I did not believe in god(s), though my parents dragged me to religious services every week.

Of course, I still do and always will. There is more scientific evidence for the old testament than evolution. Evolution is retarded, and put me in a room with any one that said otherwise. They cant defend their belief for there life. God bless you.

Not that I remember. I'm pretty sure I've never believed in a god.

I wanted to. I tried to with all my might, in order to please the adults around me, but ultimately I had to admit that none of it made any rational sense to me.
