Gamefly vs. Blockbuster!!!!!!!!!!!!!1?
Ok heres the question, i love video games and all but i am not just able to afford 60$ for every game that i want to try out, i dont mind renting games so i looked into gamefly and there prices were really expensive it was 22.95$ per month to be able to have out 2 disc out at a time. that is what i would want if i did gamefly. now blockbuster offers there in the mail deal for Movies, video games, and T.V disc for 20$ a month there are no late fees and it allows you to keep the game or movie for as long as you u want. the blockbuster deal allows you to have 3 DISC out at a time.
So i mean its obvious what the better deal is but my question is what do you guys think and which one has the better service such as if i get a scratched game or how long it takes for the disc to get to me. Thanks for your feedback and god bless.

I have never tried Blockbuster, but I have considered it on several occasions.
As for Gamefly, I really like it. They are very understanding when it comes to issues. I recently asked a family member to take a game of mine to the mailbox on the way out (It is a 10 minute trip.....lol). After a week, I reported that my que wasn't updating after sending the game back to them. Right away, my que was updated, and I had another game on its way. No questions asked......I just want to add that the game was left in between a car seat and the center console, and that I sent that game back once I realized this :)
It typically takes a game 2 to 3 business days to get to me. I live in Oregon which is a single state from 2 of the distribution centers. Not bad, but it isn't as good as Netflix. I don't mind the shipping though since I always have a game to play with the 2-game plan.
The other answerer was correct that new games can be a bit difficult to get a hold of. It does happen, but not a lot.....I did manage to get a hold of Portal 2 which is awesome btw!
If you haven't signed up but decide to, would you mind clicking through my link? It helps me out if you decide to stick with Gamefly....Plus it will take you to a Free Trial :)

I had Gamefly for about 6 months but now use Blockbuster. I have to be honest, its for ppl who are more movie watchers and the occasional gamers. They usually take about 3 days to get to you and you can turn them into the store for even faster service, but they do have a 3-6 month hold on new games and their online game selection is considerably smaller compared to Gamefly. In-store you can rent all the newest games since there isn't a hold there but you don't get those free. If you have online service they discount the price to $5 for each game rental instead of $10 for each game.
Gamefly's selection is huge and there isn't a hold on new games but don't expect to always get them quickly. High demand = very long wait. Also after mailing back my games it'd usually take a week for me to get the next ones in. Most of that is due to the US mail and the location of distrubutions centers. As far as the condition of the discs Blockbuster's are usually in better shape but I think that's just because it has less users. W/ Gamefly they have more customers so they get more use out of them, but if you do get a bad disc they're great at compensating you ASAP.
Both services give you a two week free trial if you just go to their website. Try them both out and see which is better for you.

Blockbuster is bankrupt and run down so you probably wouldn't find what you want there and gamefly can give you 2 games for 14 days for FREE if you press the little control stick thingy at the top right corner of the website and enter either chip or bonus and you MUST return them in 14 days or else it will cost money. if you are done with those 2 codes in gamefly then you should go to your local gamestop to get your video games. if you don't know where your local gamestop is then go to gamestop.com and order games. I'm just saying don't use Blockbuster, ok?

never tried the BB service, but I've been a member of Gamefly for a few years. It usually takes about 4-5 working days to get a new title when I send in the last one. I have had only one "bad" game that was not playable due to scratches. They credited me for a month when I reported it and sent me a fresh copy. The service has always been pretty good. The only complaint is the new games are always very low availability until they are a few weeks old. so you wont be playing that hot new game with your buds...you'll get it after they've all gotten tired of it.

I think with blockbuster you have to wait like 2 months to rent new release video games. I could be wrong. I thought about switching to blockbuster once myself because of the video games/movies but I did not. Im pretty sure that is why.
