Would Doans work on a dog?

I heard Doans helps with bladder/kidney stones, my dog has bladder stones & all the vets are closed. would it work? is it safe?

Update:

to add to this the dog will be but down anyway, we can't afford the surgery.

Update 2:

emergency vets are 2 hours away, can't afford to go that far on short notice.

don't know, call and talk to vet

    why are you playing doctor?

don't get animals if you can't afford vet care

Don't give your dog any human medication with out talking to your vet. Doans is for low back ache not bladder/kidney stones. Do you want to kill your dog? Remember the vets. aren't open. You could try to find an emergency vet.

Are you serious/ I hope not!

Take your dog to the vet tomorrow! Doans are a joke/placebo for humans as well and may actually cause you dog harm!

Sorry for your problem...is it possible to surrender the dog to the nearest shelter for treatment instead of putting it down.. :)

If your dog is suffering than that us the correct choice. Stones can be VERY painful for the poor dog and passing one, even more painful!

    My sympathies!

not safe. any human medication is not safe for dogs unless specifically recommended by your vet

I would ask my vet before giving any human med to your pets.
