Just seen two Alfa Spider convertibles in Canterbury?

Red and a black one. Around £13k ('57' 67000m). Is this the prettiest car ever?

Trouble is they are supposed to be so unreliable. Anyone had/got one?

INB4 the usual Alfa bar-room experts "They rust and are crap lol" comment.

Modern Alfas are as reliable as anything else. At that mileage I'd insist on a full service history and a recent cambelt change, and make sure everything works.

They're beautiful cars to look at but unfortunately as with most of these things, chopping the roof off has made it a bit wobbly and very heavy. Don't imagine you're buying a sports car, even the 3.2 V6 isn't what you call fast, and the 2.2 petrol will get shown the way home by a 1.6 Ford Focus.

If you're thinking about buying a Diesel one I don't even want to know, enjoy the tractor noises when you're cruising......

this is a very pretty car and if looked after will be reliable aswell-true its not a superfast sports jobbie but when your in one of them you want to take your time so everyone can see you!(mustbe the red one!)
