how much oil do i add to a lawn mower. rotary, walk behind, briggs, sears.

20 ounce or 3/4 of a bottle of 30 W oil.

does it have a dipstick?? if so pull it out and clean it off, there should be something on there to show you where it needs to be. if you look on the motor, there should be numbers stamped on the engine somewhere. if so, write them down and look on sears's website. should find your info there. shouldnt take much, but they differ

as michael says there may be a dipstick with markings..however, some(most) do not and the correct procedure is to fill until it runs back out and replace fill plug ..good luck
