Should a relationship be 50/50 with money?

My bf takes care of almost everything. However, when he comes up short I step up to the plate with pleasure.

50/50

50/50 with most things, yeah,but not necessarily with money. Let's say you just worked super hard and did hard labor all day and earned $100. You probably won't want to give 50 to your boyfriend, especially if he didn't do anything all day.

Share? Most definitely.

Share fairly? Yes. Share equally? Only if that's what's fair.

I'd say that you should EXPECT it to be 50/50 but you can let it get to 60/40. I always offer to go halfsies (lol) on everything...but if my boyfriend wants to pay then I let him. However, if I notice he has been paying a lot for me lately...I will take him out for a meal on me! (:

I don't know about 50/50 but I have always felt that the bills should be paid by both. As for me, I handle all of the big bills (Mortgage, car payments, insurance, and putting money aside for our kids to go to college) She takes care of the smaller bills. (Electric, gas, groceries and things for the home) Any unexpected bills, we pay together. This seems to work for us. We both have our own money and our responsibilities.

Yeaa i'm like that! Well my boyfriend is 60 and i'm 40 too lol But whenever he doesn't have money and i do i always got him. At first i wasn't to sure about this but he tends to always spend money on me with hesitating so i don't mind paying every here and there.

I'm pretty old skool. I believe that the man is the provider for the most part or at least should be. There are some circumstances where the man can't provide and the woman steps in.

If you live together then all bills no matter who lived there first should be split 50/50 and what's left over should be used for whatever you please.
