How do I fix this on my Mac?

I have a MacBook, and I'm having a problem with the bar. On the top right corner, near the time and the battery, there used to be an icon for my wireless connection. The icon disappeared. Is there any way to get it back?

Update:

I know how to find it, it's just easier to use the icon than get it in System Preferences.

Don't know about getting the icon back in the bar but I can help you locate where the 'wireless connection' is in the computer. It's quite simple.

Click on the apple icon in the top left corner--> System preferences --> Network--> Wireless.

You can turn it on/off from here. The next time you want to access this control, you could also click on 'recent items" under the apple menu.

    Good luck!
