2004 passat wont start?

2004 passat wont start when hot its outside?

I dont get it, the weather recently got over 90+ and my car wont start in the middle of the day but it starts up fine in the morning and late in the evening.

The car does nothing, doesn't even try to turn over. Its seems to me its something electrical because the dash lights come on in the on position but nothing happens when you turn it over.

I'm open to ideas. I read on a couple other VW forums that the older ones had bad ignition switches that would do this, but i havent read anything about an 04 (or other b5.5 for that matter). Also the car only has 60k miles on it.

Update:

Thanks ford but I have an OBDII scanner and there are no codes or check engine light

I would check the positive battery cable. The resistance changes as things warm up and it just might get to where the resistance is too high to allow the voltage to get to the starter.

Don't mind Ford, that's the 16 year olds standard answer to every problem on the forum.
