Regarding the debt ceiling?

When Republicans voted for the BUDGET (both the CR for 2011 and the Ryan budget plan for 2012) they voted for deficit spending ... for MORE debt than we currently hold. Now today, they voted to NOT let the Treasury pay for the items that they authorized less than 2 months ago. Are they serious?

Contrary to what the Tea Party believes, raising the debt limit is NOT the equivalent of asking for a credit card limit increase. Voting for a budget with a deficit is that vote.

A better analogy for what the Republicans have done ... They've gone to a car dealership, signed a loan agreement, driven the car home, and now, two months later, they are trying to re-negotiate the terms of their loan. Why would anyone possibly do that? It's insanity, right?

Take any business with a couple hundred people trying to run it and get what they want and see if it does any better. Every single thing needs to be voted on seperate and not put in with other things to be voted in the same vote.

This is off topic but since you don't accept emails I post here.

Regarding: Exactly as much as I agree with the statement that 'MY taxes shouldn't pay for YOUR wars.'. Once the country has decided to take on an obligation, you don't get to pick and choose where your taxes go based on whether or not you approve of the action.

Touche my liberal opponent. Point well taken.
