When the scales fall from your eyes and you truly, without question or doubt, realise there is no god?

When eventually it happened to me after years of brain washing, realising the truth was a kind of peace - and maturing & understanding. But the downside is looking around at so many people wishing I could click my fingers and say "321 you are awake"

Update:

I think I'm still pissed. Ignore me. Lol xxx

ur not asking a question but i fully relate to ur statment. i lost my religion last year and it felt amazing, u actually feel in control or your life. also every beautiful thing in the world you can appreciate infinately more after all this is the only life that you get so you want to enjoy it. you also want others to realise that all their prayers are falling on invisible non-existant ears.

Just because your religion wasn't 100% right, which I'm guessing yours was Christianity, it is not 100% wrong either. Every religion has some truth in it. The hard part is finding the truths in each religion and fitting them into a whole religion and gaining physical experiences from your hard work. There is a lot more to life than meets the physical eye, don't be fooled into thinking your awake yet, you've only taken the first step (which is realizing no single religion is 100% true [unless you're talking about unitarian universalism or theosophy]).

After I realised that gods didn't exist it still took me a long time to deal with the feelings of guilt I had for no reason.

The challenge for us is to accept that God is superior to man; not equal to man. Man is a god.Satan's test (1 of them) currently puts God equal to man; i.e. o.t. is Genesis-Malachi; whereas God's o.t. is the law of Moses.

I'm a bit confused by what your asking. Can you make it a bit more clear? What I get is your asking that how long it took for former-believers to believe there is no God?

    Am I right on that?

    I'm I'm wrong, please specify.
