Optical audio out to analog converter suggestions?
Need recomendations on an audio signal converter from optical to analog (RCA).
I got a new TV with only optical audio out, my Reciever is older and only have analog inputs. New reciever cost too much. All my other AV gear connects to the Reciever, but I also want regular TV audio to go through the Reciver.

You can not connect a 3.5mm jack to an optical audio port. By purchasing those converter you are going back ward in technology. The optical audio port is a digital signal with multi channel sound information. You would be better off having a sound bar or multi channel receiver. Then you can connect the head phone to the receiver. Hope this will help you out.
