Dr. Jack Szostak's Abiogenesis Research?

What is your opinion on the published work of Szostak et. al. in the field of abiogenesis research?

Is it an avenue of research that could lead to further discovery in this area and maybe a model of the abiogenesis process?

Hmm, THANK YOU for reminding me of this topic.

I found it in the middle of my exam period and had to put it aside for the time being, looks like I found some reading material.

I'm not sure of his procedures and findings. But abiogenesis I believe will give more insight to possible extraterrestial life than to our own. Perhaps, other element building blocks could be used.

But like many things in biology a more detailed model of abiogenesis would be very important in understanding our place in the universe, as for applications in the modern world. I really can't foresee any. But that's not to say there won't be any.

Anyways, thanks again! I might edit this post when I'm more informed on the matter
