How many foreigners reside in the United States?
Does anyone have a resource to check this data based on the latest census?
By foreigner I mean that they do not have American citizenship. In 2004, this used to be around 23 million. I am looking for a more recent objective figure for 2010, especially concerning Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals.

Somewhere near 40 million legal immigrants plus between 12 million and 20 million illegal immigrants...
