The spare wheel is not part fo the MoT.

You don't legally need a spare wheel to take the car on the road, lots of modern cars are supplied with either a space saver tyre, or no spare wheels and a can of foam to seal a puncture

No. If the spare isn't present they cannot fail the car. You are not obliged to carry a spare, even though it was provided with the car. Many cars do not have spare wheels these days, only a can of crud to re-inflate which buggers up a previously repairable tyre, as it happens.

No, a car doesn't need a spare wheel for an MOT and even if there is one there that's bald it'll only be an advisory, if that.

No but if you do have a spare it must be in the same good condition as the rest of your tyres or it will fail.

no but its against the law not to carry one

Yes, it has to be correctly inflated and with the legal requirement of tread.
