What kind of Frog is this and what does it eat? (Pics included)?

Question

My little brother brought this home from a party in our cousins backyard and we were wondering what specie of frog (Or possibly, toad) it is. We also would like to know what insects it favors.

I ask for it's diet because I know that fireflies are poisonous to some frogs and toads.

It's an American Toad.  They eat worms, insects, and other little creatures found in the average garden.  If you plan to keep it in a terrarium, be sure to provide a dish of water so he can get wet occasionally, and somewhat sandy soil so he can dig a burrow.  They like to live down in a burrow or under something, where they can stay cool and moist.  They come out in the morning and evening and hop around looking for bugs to eat.
