The Union of Catholic Physicians says it can use sugar pills to keep homosexual "inclinations" at bay. Agree?
As for the scientific basis of the treatments offered by the UCP, Winkelmann listed "medical-psychotherapeutic, philosophical and theological literature," the "minority views of psychotherapists," the "teachings of the Catholic church, the Holy Scripture," and the "homeopathy of Samuel Hahnemann," the German physician credited with creating the practice.

Now, my question is, do you believe a high colonic would be more effective?
Bonus question: Does the pope's doctor belong to this union?

The placebo effect is known to cause results in people who truly believe that the pills are a cure (in this case homeopathy).
So I have no doubt that if someone truly believed the pills would "keep homosexual inclinations at bay", than that person would report the pills being successful.
This mind is fully capable of tricking itself into believing something, to the point of it becoming reality for that individual.
However, I have serious doubts that this homeopathy would experience any long-term success.

If the "sugar pills" are big enough, they could tape them
across their eyes ... thus eliminating arousing sights :)
They would do better by following the scriptural advice &
make sure their clergy are stable men who are MARRIED
and showing they can keep their FAMILY in order.
Surely that would keep deviants out of the ministry.

It might help, who knows?
They aren't forcing anyone to try it.
"The UCP website includes a testimonial from a southern German gay man who writes that he had been happy to find that the organization believed "that changing homosexual tendencies was possible" because finding a therapist to undertake such a task had been difficult. "Unfortunately the widespread opinion among psychotherapists is that homosexuality is inherent and unalterable," he writes."
This quote shows that some homosexual people want this. Why should they be denied the opportunity?
ADDED: - there are Catholic homosexuals out there, who want to follow God and lead a life of chastity. If they choose to seek assistance with resisting temptation, why won't others allow it? That is intolerant of those who are claiming they are the victims of intolerance.

What does the union of proper physicians say on the matter?
Source(s): The religious association, which calls itself the "voice of the Catholic medical community," writes on its website that while "homosexuality is not an illness," a host of treatments are available to keep such "inclinations" at bay. Possibilities include "constitutional treatments with homeopathic tools … such as homeopathic dilutions like Platinum," "psychotherapy," and "religious counseling." Among homeopathy's controversial treatments are the prescription of "Globuli," tiny pills that consisting mostly of sugar. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

Maybe it would work for about 5 minutes or thereabouts. I'd expect the same results if you told heterosexuals that something could stem their libido. Homosexuality isn't an illness or unnatural. Animals display the same behavior. We are animals too.

That's retarded, these people need a good old fashioned bitchslap
I can't believe how insanely desperate these god teet suckers are to avoid the reality that homosexuality exists and it's never going away.

Why aren't they using them on their own priests then? If it can stop homosexual feelings they certainly ought to be able to keep them from wanting to f**k little boys.

Are these the same guys that look at a medical rarity and say "goddidit!" so the catholic church can sanctify someone? Why should we take these guys seriously?!

No. Why would it be?
@Eric-With that argument, there should be similar pills for straight people.

Just so you know, they know it isn't a "cure", it is just to help them resist sexual temptations, fornication.
EDIT: I am not one of these physicians and do not understand their sugar pills, but priests do suggest spiritual readings for those tempted by lust. All sex outside of a valid marriage is lustful, sodomy is no different than any other kinds.
