Best route through Chicago?
Traveling through Chicago on 6/19, which is a Sunday, on my way up to Racine. Will be coming into Chicago on I-94 from Indiana. I should hit Chicago around mid-morning. Will it be easier to take 94 through Chicago or should I go around on the toll road? On a weekday I'd definitely go around but will traffic be bad on a Sunday morning?

you will encounter lighter traffic on a weekend than a weekday
it still will be heavy but no where near as heavy as a weekday you should be almost doing the speed limit for the most part

The weather will play a role in the traffic - if the weather is nice then the *inbound* traffic will start to pick up past 9:30-10am as people start coming into the city to spend the day and traffic on both sides will continue to get worse through the afternoon and evening when everyone is leaving the city to go back home and anyone from the city that left for the weekend are coming back into town.
Even if you do catch a little traffic in mid-morning, it wouldn't be enough to consider going a different way - from where you are it would add more time than you'd lose to traffic at that time to go around the city.

Considering the day and time, you should stay on I-94 directly through the city. You will be fine.
