My gf and her purity ring, what do I do?

Okay look, I know exactly what the ring symbolizes and all but there's something that I need to address here. Her and I get into extremely heated make out sessions, rolling all over the place ect. Her and I have so much passion for each other and we enjoy holding each other and looking into each others eyes for long periods of time. Sometimes I feel like it's gonna happen while we are making out.

I'm Christian and I fully respect the ring, but sometimes I get the feeling that if a couple has so much passion for one another why not take it to the next step and make love? I'm currently going through that feeling again and to be honest, I feel kind of ashamed of myself because my personal values and religion tell me to respect the fact that she wants to wait, and I do, but my heart is telling me otherwise.

In no way am I the kind of guy that is after sex. Hell, I searched for 4 years of my teenage life to find the right girl for me, if that isn't proving that I care for the girl with my heart and soul, then I don't know what is.

Any suggestions on how to rid of this feeling?

What should I do concerning sex? Her and I have talked about it, but more in general not pertaining to our relationship.

I'm extremely lost in my already very confusing life, any help is greatly appreciated.
