help, no sound.... what can I do?
Recently updated laptop from windows xp to windows 7 ultimate.
No sound when plugging in headphones, laptop isn't even detecting headphones, sound is fine when playing it out loud through speakers.

Unfortunately, my friend, there are no Windows 7 drivers available for the sound card of your Asus F3M laptop computer.
You could try the Windows Vista driver and hope that that will work for you.
The chances are, Windows 7 has installed a generic sound card driver. That's why you're hearing something.

Maybe you should try another set of headphones to check that they aren't broken, it cause also be possible you might have a broken jack hole, also, make sure you put the jack into the green hole :P

Take it for repairs am sure the motherboard slot for the earphones are not properly inplace
