Does anybody have a source for the claim that "Revere was captured by the British and warned them"....?
....all I've seen is this Jacobson guy's blog, and it lists no source.
I smell a rat.
I looked at Drudge and couldn't find it.
Every "source" I've seen is just quoting this guy? Who the hell is he? Is he even a Professor anywhere like he claims?
Every link you guys are giving is a blog, or a right wing site's link to a blog.
When it comes out later this was a lie you guys are going to pretend this never happened, because you'll already have moved on to the next lie.

Revere wasn't the one with the guns and bells .. it was the townspeople. They were alerting other townspeople after Revere had warned the local leaders. The gunshots and bells weren't to warn the British!!!
The idea that Revere would admit to the British he was riding around to warn Settlers they were coming, and they would put him back on his horse without shooting him summarily, is blatantly ridiculous.

Sarah Palin is no more intelligent than an amoeba. You cannot rewrite history no mattery how much you try to change wikipedia or point people to "blogs" that support the version of history in Sarah Palin's mind. Have you ever in your life before today heard this version of Paul Revere's midnight ride? And now people will try to make it fit Palin's idiotic version of Paul Revere. Look at the following paragraph by Ms. Palin and tell me if you can make any sense at all out of it, real or imagined.
He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms uh by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free and we were going to be armed.

Revere described that in his own letter.

Take a shower, Bob Rat.
What Sarah Palin said was obviously correct -- that the Americans weren't willing to give up their arms, and that the British were told that. Including by Paul Revere.

Revere only ratted out after being captured. It wasn't his mission to do so.
